Sandbelts should not be stored in places with significant temperature and humidity changes. The ideal temperature is 18-220C; The ideal humidity is 40-65%. Excessive temperature can cause the adhesive to age and reduce the service life of the sand belt. Synthetic fiber matrix sand belts (such as polyester cloth sand belts) are sensitive to cold and cannot be stored in cold warehouses.

Excessive or insufficient humidity can cause deformation of the sand belt, which in turn reduces the bonding strength of the sand layer. Especially, excessive humidity has a serious impact on the sand belt. Except for water-resistant sand belts, when used with damp sand belts, they are prone to folding, wrinkling, and other phenomena, which can cause the sand belts to be scrapped. In addition, when wet sand belts are ground, the grinding material is prone to adhere to the surface of the sand belt, reducing the service life of the sand belt. High temperature and low humidity have a significant impact on paper sanding belts, making them brittle and prone to breakage and scrapping during use.
