Purpose and significance of raw cloth processing in abrasive cloth manufacturing

It is important that the quality of the original cloth, the main substrate of the abrasive belt, meets certain requirements, but it is also essential to properly treat it. The purpose of the original cloth treatment is to:

(1) Improve the adhesion between the front of the original cloth and the sand-bonding layer, that is, fill the holes in the cloth to prevent the base glue and the double glue from penetrating into the base material in large quantities.

(2) Improve the flatness and extension of the original cloth to make the glue-coated sand planting uniform, which is especially important for fine-grained sand belts. The flatness of the base material does not mean smoothness. The smooth proof and the adhesion of the sand-bonding layer are small, and the smooth back will also cause slipping during operation, which is not expected.

(3) Make the base material fixed, moderate in hardness and softness, reduce elasticity and extension, and improve tensile strength.

(4) Give the base material a certain oil and water resistance, which is especially important for water-resistant sand.

(5) Improve the appearance quality of the product.
