Sandbelts are generally composed of four basic elements, namely matrix, binder, abrasive, and structural form. As shown in the table:

Matrix - cloth based, paper based, composite based

Abrasives - Natural abrasives - Natural corundum, pomegranate

Sandbelt ordinary abrasives - white corundum, brown corundum, zirconia corundum, silicon carbide

Superhard abrasives - artificial diamond, cubic boron nitride

Adhesives - animal glue, semi resin, all resin, water resistant products

Structural form - Jointless sand belt

Joint sanding tape - docking, overlapping, etc
