Flexibility
Latex paper sandpaper: The latex paper substrate has latex in it, usually 15% to 30%. That makes latex paper sandpaper more flexible. This flexibility means latex paper sandpaper can fit better on curved or odd-shaped workpieces when grinding. It also won't get damaged easily when bent or folded during use.
Traditional paper-based sandpaper: Traditional paper-based sandpaper often uses normal paper substrates, and it's not as flexible. When grinding complex shapes or workpieces that need to be bent a lot, traditional paper-based sandpaper is more likely to get broken or torn.

Water resistance
Latex paper sandpaper: The latex paper substrate is good at resisting water. This means latex paper sandpaper can be used in damp places. It can even be used for grinding directly in water without losing its original performance and stability because of absorbing water. This water resistance makes latex paper sandpaper do well in situations where grinding with water is needed, like grinding the surface of cars or the putty on walls.
Traditional paper-based sandpaper: Traditional paper-based sandpaper isn't that good at resisting water. If it's in contact with water for a long time, the paper substrate might absorb water, expand, get soft, and even lose its original strength and stability. That'll affect the grinding effect and how long it lasts.

Tear resistance
Latex paper sandpaper: Because there's latex in the latex paper substrate and it usually goes through special processing, latex paper sandpaper has higher tear resistance. That means during grinding, even if there's a big force from the outside, latex paper sandpaper is less likely to tear or break.
Traditional paper-based sandpaper: Traditional paper-based sandpaper has lower tear resistance. During grinding, if there's a big force or it meets a very hard workpiece surface, traditional paper-based sandpaper is more likely to tear or break.
