Product Description
Material: Aluminum oxide sandpaper uses aluminum oxide (Al₂O₃) particles as the abrasive. The base material is usually paper or fiber cloth. The aluminum oxide particles are fixed to the substrate through an adhesive. Aluminum oxide has a high hardness (Mohs hardness 9), second only to diamond and silicon carbide, making it an ideal abrasive material.
Features: Alumina sandpaper has strong wear resistance and is suitable for rough and fine grinding of various materials such as metal, wood, and plastic; some products are equipped with anti-clogging coatings to reduce dust adhesion and extend service life; the base material is flexible (such as imported latex paper), suitable for grinding irregular surfaces; it has good heat dissipation during grinding, avoiding overheating of the workpiece.
Application: It is widely used in metal processing (such as car manufacturing, polishing in mold factories), woodworking (such as sanding furniture wood and paint surfaces), surface treatment of plastic and rubber products, preparation of insulating layers for electronic components, ceramic processing, and architectural decoration (such as sanding wall putty).
